No! I was asking a freind if there were xml standards for form elements. abi: xmlterm is a cross between xterm and mozilla at http://www.xmlterm.org/ Where did I put his URL? form elements? To start, I need form elements. This is so I can start using my app to make money, and eat. * Fare/#Tunes plays with musik.pl what is a form element? button, text box, etc.. 11:10am dunno Certainly, if you consider CLIM you can use a trivial SEXP-to-XML mapping and obtain form elements; or you can try to adapt Tk or GTk or whatever Down with XML. Long live SEXP! s/P// :) I must be available on the internet. I am not aware of SEXP, XML, or Tk being available on all browsers. XML may soon be, and if they have a standard I would like to know about it. I don't understand what you're trying to do The internet is the best medium for applications. Any application not on the internet is restricting itself. It is unfortunate that HTML and Java are all we have. The DBC (my project) has many aspects. It should be well written, have man Tunes-like properties. But it is equally important that people use it. -:- SignOff hcf: #TUNES (Leaving) Have you seen Pliant? No. abi: pliant? pliant is at http://pliant.cams.ehess.fr I have seen lilttle. 11:20am is Pliant lisp-like? not if you consider the syntax I am a beleiver that anyting with streams can not be good. :) however, it has an open compiler that allows for more than what LISP macros do. streams? Arbitrary series of bytes. It is unfortunate that all OSs use streams. (Available OSs) streams are good to have. They are evil to use everywhere. I can think of only a couple of places where streams are good, and that is only to communicate with hardware. talking to TCP services, too What uese of streams are you tinkning of? making nice packages of software (the equivalent of .tar.gz) ahem. That's about all. ok, reading legacy files I should say that much of the CS is stream based. You only need TCP services to communicate with existing softeware. include TCP as legacy services :) (legacy files) Yes Even packages can be done differently. The only streaming required will be to the disk. Even that can be broken to blocks. 11:30am when you save to tape, to removeable disk, when you send a package to another computer, etc, you need streams. i.e. streams are to interface low-level storage/communication which is sometimes explicitly needed That functionality should be part of the driver for the device. I am sure we are agreeing bye 11:40am -:- SignOff _out: #TUNES (Leaving) -:- hcf [nef@207-172-225-147.s147.tnt1.pld.me.dialup.rcn.com] has joined #tunes -:- smoke is now known as marvin -:- marvin is now known as bernard -:- SignOff hcf: #TUNES (Ping timeout for hcf[207-172-225-147.s147.tnt1.pld.me.dialup.rcn.com]) -:- hcf [nef@207-172-225-147.s147.tnt1.pld.me.dialup.rcn.com] has joined #tunes -:- SignOff hcf: #TUNES (Leaving) -:- hcf [nef@207-172-225-147.s147.tnt1.pld.me.dialup.rcn.com] has joined #tunes -:- SignOff hcf: #TUNES (Leaving) -:- dirt [wrong@niantic0305.mohawk.net] has joined #tunes -:- SignOff smkl: #TUNES (Ping timeout for smkl[glubimox.yok.utu.fi]) -:- smkl [sami@glubimox.yok.utu.fi] has joined #tunes -lilo(lilo@varley.openprojects.net)- [GlobalNotice] Hi all.
